I got started early in the morning from Vegas and drove in to Zion National Park. I had remembered it as being very impressive last time I was there (when I was, oh, 5 or 6), so I was anxious to see it again. Zion is beautiful beyond belief--utterly unreal. I'm depressed that these pictures don't get across how amazing it is. I've been to Yosemite, and I have to say that Yosemite is no Zion.

On my first day, I tackled the Emerald Pools, the Riverside Walk, the Canyon Overlook, and the Checkerboard Mesa.
