| These two guys decided not to risk it, either. The blue-shirt guy's daughter
went across though--this was apparently her fifth or sixth time, so it was
no big deal to her. She went to the top and back in less than 30 minutes.
The white-shirt guy's wife went across, too. That left us guys wimping out.
Not exactly living up to the machismo, huh? I saw one girl walk across like
she was going to the store. She dangled a water bottle from her hand the
whole way. I can't even imagine--I mean, that's your death lurking just
a couple feet away. One stumble, and you could be demonstrating the Doppler
effect for the fortunates still up top. |
